A Bun in The Oven
My sister was expecting her first baby and I was going to make the invitation. I wanted something "sweet". We decided to go with baking theme baby shower party ideas so I made a "Bun in the Oven" invitation.
I used a photo of my son in a chef's hat sitting in a baking bowl with cookie ingredients all around him.
Since you couldn't tell if he was a boy or a girl in the photo I thought it would be okay to use it on her GIRL baby shower invite. My son is certain to appreciate this later! hehe! :)
For baby shower party favors, we had boxes of devils cake and angel food cake with a comical poem that said something about the baby being a lil' devil or a lil angel.
We also gave each guest a utensil for baking.
We played a game and had guests fill in the blanks of what kind of cake could it be based on the clues give...upside down cake, patty cake, birthday cake, etc.
Needless to say, the baby shower was a HUGE success.
