Church Games for Christmas Party
by Judy

This "Away in a Manger" is one of best Church games for Christmas party. Fun for adults and kids of all ages!
To prepare, set up a manger scene, adding as much detail as you can to make the game more challenging. You can use any medium that is appropriate for your celebration. Families can use a small nativity scene or cut figures out from paper and arrange them against a twilight back ground, while larger church groups may want to set up a life-size (or real life) cast of characters.
In addition to Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus, you can include the three Wise Men, the angels, the Christmas star, a collection of animals, hay, and the three gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh – plus any number of supporting objects.
To play these games for Christmas party, ask guests to take a good look at the nativity manger scene for a few moments. Then turn out the lights, cover the nativity, or ask guests to turn around and close their eyes; the point is that they can't see what you're about to do! Once no one is looking, remove one piece of the nativity. Then challenge guests to guess what is missing.
You can make it easier for young guests by taking away the main characters, then challenge older guests with less noticeable items like patches of straw or stars in the sky.
