Coolest 11th Beach Ball Fun Birthday Invitation

by Natalie Bevilacqua

I used this invitation two years ago for my 11th birthday which was themed "Beach Fun!" One day, I had an idea to write the invite on beach balls.

We bought about 30 large, multi colored beach balls for 39 cent each and we also bought a bunch of permanent markers, but most people already have these utensils. So, my mom and I got to work writing the invite on the beach balls. By the time we were done, we had written the invitation on all of the beach balls including some extras and when we blew the first one up, it looked great.

Once we delivered the beach balls to the guests we got many enthusiastic RVSPs saying how creative and clever my idea was. This beach ball invitation got many people's "creative juices" flowing. This idea is not only cute and fun, but also it is very cheap to purchase. Beach balls can be found pretty much any where and the permanent markers, if not already attained, can be found at any office supply store.

As far as time goes, it took me and my mom (two people) about an hour and one half to make 30 invites, so with a little hard work it should not be too time consuming. The only bad thing about this idea is mailing the invite. The beach balls are fairly heavy, so they will be costly to mail. The solution my mom came up with to deliver these invites was to run them to each of my friend's houses. Most people would not be willing to complete this task because it is too time consuming. Well, those people can simply tell their child to take the invitations to school and hand them out to their friends.

Another reason this invitation idea is great is because the kids can bring their invites to the party, making them very fun pool toys. Even if someone won't come they will have a fun beach ball to play with and remind them of the host. This idea is very clever and will have the host getting complements on how remarkable this idea was.

Now, no matter how old I get, I'll make it a priority to have a spectacular invitation that lets my creativity truly shine.
