Coolest 4th Town Birthday Party
(Kansas City Mo)
My four year old loves to pretend and is always cooking us plastic pizza and felt cupcakes! So it was a no brainer we needed to build her a town with a puppet theater, general store and a fruit and veggie stand.
I then incorporated all of this into a party for her and her friends.
When you arrived you were greeted with a sign that said "Welcome to Jennaville" then you got to choose if you wanted to shop or work first. The workers sold the items from the stores. The General store was full of novelty items (like bracelets, bouncy balls, stamps, rings, twirly ribbons and little cars) found at a local party store. The fruit and veggie stand had cut up veggies in plastic cups with ranch in the bottom, cut up strawberries and grapes in plastic cups and whole bananas. Then we had a hot dog stand that was our bar b que cart with an umbrella and a sign.
Everyone was given Jennabills with the birthday girls picture on the money and that is how they purchased the items then we switched turns. When everyone was wrapped up we enjoyed cup cakes from the bakery/candy table. Then we had a puppet show from the theater and served popcorn. The invites were shaped like a piece of candy and read-

And the exit looked like this:
As the kids left we had a table with the Dr.Suess book Happy Birthday to you that everyone wrote a message to the birthday girl. And they all left with their purchases, a scoop of candy and a toothbrush. The sign for the toothbrush said-
Thank you for visiting Jennaville!
Please sign our book with something neat
Take a bag and fill with sweets
Most important: always brush those teeth!
Now after this amazing party my kiddo has a very cool little town in her room. All the credit for these little building go to Ana White's website! Everything else can be found at grocery stores, party stores and lumber stores. This could be done with cardboard boxes as well.
