Littlest Pet Shop Birthday Party
"Looking for coolest childrens birthday party themes?
We've got it ALL here!"
Your child's big day is coming up and you have decided
to make it the best littlest pet shop birthday party ever!
Well don't break out in a big sweat. Here are some ideas to
simplify the task for you.
Invitations
No matter what childrens birthday party themes you've considered for your little one, having a littlest pet shop party is going to be a memorable experience. And it all begins with the invitations.
If you want to stay in theme from the beginning, you can use the adorable littlest pet shop invitations/thank you cards. This is good not only because the invites feature a cute turtle and monkey but because the thank you notes are already included. That's one less thing you'll have to buy.
You could also choose to pick up some colorful stationery and print the invitations using your computer. Let your child pick out images of his or her favorite animals from the Internet then add them to the cards along with the details. If you can't find matching envelopes, use plain ones and decorate them with littlest pet shop sticker sheets.
Wild Refreshments
Children are going to work up an appetite so make sure you plan for refreshments. First, you're going to want the birthday cake. Did you know you can purchase or make a plain cake (costs much less) and add a littlest pet shop cake topper? That brings the whole theme together.
If you have a favorite bakery or cooking supply store, you should be able to find cake pans in a wide range of shapes. Look for some that are shaped like your child's favorite animas: turtles, dogs, and monkeys are a few of the choices from the Littlest Pet Shop. For large guests lists, choose two or more different shapes and have different flavored cakes to appeal to the different taste buds of your guests.
Serve Turtles (chocolate, caramel, and nut candies), frozen chocolate bananas, or Puppy Chow (a mixture of Chex Mix cereal covered in powdered sugar). That way you could associate some of the foods with a few of the animals decorating the party environment.
Decorating with Animals
With any popular childrens birthday party themes, you want to match the decorations to the theme. For your littlest pet shop birthday party, so you'll expect to see plenty of adorable, big-eyed animals staring at you from all angles.
First, consider decorating at least the main table or the guest of honor's table with the plastic littlest pet shop tablecover. If your budget permits, use them on all of your tables. You might worry that having those cute animals on all of the tables would be a bit overwhelming so instead opt for plain colored or pastel colored disposable tablecloths. They work just as well and can be "dressed up" with other theme-related decorations.
When you're decorating the tables, you might want a centerpiece of two to liven things up. Here are a couple of ideas:
Use the littlest pet shop centerpiece for at least one of the tables. It's a bit too tall to work on all of the tables but it could be great for the refreshments table.
- Create centerpieces using inexpensive stuffed animals (you can win them from machines or purchase them at discount stores) then tie colorful balloons around their paws or feet. Try to get enough for each guest to have one or use them as game prizes.
- Purchase inexpensive clear candy bags at a local cooking supply store, fill them up with colorful candy or iced animal cookies, and tie each bag shut with ribbon. Place these in decorative pyramid-shapes in the center of the table (make one for each guest).
After you've decorated the tables, focus on the rest of the room. You can tie littlest pet shop mylar balloons to some of the chairs, for example. Purchase some littlest pet shop removable wall decorations and use them on the walls of your party location. Be sure to take them down afterward because your child can use them to decorate their room.
Party Favors
You can't have a fabulous littlest pet shop birthday party without some special party favors for your guests. Some of the ones available can help keep them busy if they get bored waiting for the other guests to arrive, such as the littlest pet shop on-the-go activity studio which includes art supplies and a carrying case. This actually makes a nice prize if you choose to play games at the party.
Other party favors might include something traditional like littlest pet shop blowouts or hats. You could also pick rubber bracelets or keychain-clip notepads as party favors. If you want to make things even easier, you could purchase a ready-met littlest pet shop party favor set for each guest.
If you don't mind if the favors don't match the theme, you can give out boxes of animal crackers, cookies shaped and decorated like animals, animal coloring books, or kids' passes to your local zoo or aquarium.
Entertainments & Activities
No birthday party, even a littlest pet shop birthday party, is complete without entertainment. Here are some ideas you might want to consider that would go well with your theme:
Have the party at your local zoo or aquarium. Most of these facilities welcome birthday parties and even have party packages available. Some packages include behind the scenes tours of the zoo.
- Hire a petting zoo or pony rides for the party. Children love animals and would be delighted to be up close and personal with them.
- Ask everyone to bring a picture of their pet or of a pet they'd like to have. You can go around the room and have everyone talk about why their pet is special. This is a great icebreaker activity if the guests don't already know each other.
- Have a piñata. The littlest pet shop ultimate pack comes with a heart-shaped piñata and the candy filling for it. The pack also comes with balloons, decorations, party favors, and all of the other party supplies you'll need for up to 8 people.
Make sure that you keep the theme in mind as you plan the rest of the party, and your child will have a magical littlest pet shop birthday party.
