Ok, above is a photo from my party. If you are looking to simply capture the moment without a lot of whoopee - do then try these suggestions.
Wrap a large sturdy empty box that will hold your child's weight in colorful paper and ribbons. Set the birthday boy or girl on top of the box, place their gifts around them near their feet and give them one to hold use a few balloons and other patty favors to complete the mood and say cheese!
For a group photo of the family or party guests with the birthday boy or girl, rearrange the gifts so they are not sitting on or cramped into a small area have them sit around the guest honor and also hold a small gift and smile.
Cake time is a must have photo for all birthday parties. To take the best photo of the birthday boy or girl with their cake stand on a chair and have the subject look up at you this will allow you to get a picture of the child and all of the cake at once. For the candle, blowing photo kneel down so you are eye level with the child and snap the photo.
